I’ve gotten various types of feedback about my Code of Points (some very encouraging and some a bit harsh…), so I decided that the only way for me to prove whether a system like this could possibly work is to put it into action. So I did!
I’ve had it. I’ve given this code of points three years, and something’s still not right. We’ve complained long enough. We’ve made it abundantly clear that we miss the artistry, we miss the originality, and we miss the 10.

Well now that the dust has settled from the world championships, I wanted to give some of my random thoughts on the competition – both the good and the bad!
Yesterday, USA racked up 2 more medals in Day 1 of the World Championships Event Finals. Kayla Williams won Gold on Vault and Rebecca Bross won a Bronze on Uneven Bars - way to go USA!

Well I hope I didn’t curse Afanasyeva, since it was almost immediately after I posted my blog when I learned of her back injury! That must have been some serious back injury for her to pull out of a world championships she had an excellent chance of winning.
