Twelve young women have been selected to attend the first world team selection camp to be held September 13-18 at the women’s national team training center in Huntsville, Texas. For some of the girls, the U.S. National Championships last weekend in Hartford, Connecticut gave their chances for the six-member squad a boost in the right direction; for others, it left them begging for a second chance. The 2010 World Championships in Rotterdam, The Netherlands are exactly FIVE months away. With much international competition in 2010 already taken place, it's likely we've been watching many of the stars who will be competing for world medals this fall. Although it was nearly three years ago, the last women's world team title was actually won by the United States in 2007. Take a look at six gymnasts who may very well be capable of matching that feat should they be selected for this year's USA world team.
